A FUN OPPORTUNITY!

The LPGA Canadian Open Tournament is coming to the Vancouver Golf Club in Coquitlam. The dates are August 20th through the 26th.

The Tour will be playing in Oregon the week before which means we should be able to attract many of their top players. The purse for our tournament is $2.25 million which will also be very attractive.

We're hoping the UGC Ladies' & Mens' groups will be able provide marshalls for one of the holes. Please contact me if you are interested in volunteering. I will be providing further information as I receive it.

CLUB RULING ON "PREFERRED LIES"...in effect from 1st October"

A ball lying "through the green" (not including tee or green, but including rough) may be marked, lifted, cleaned and placed by hand within 6 inches of where it originally lay, but not nearer the hole, without penalty.

NOTE: if the ball lies within 3 feet, or against, a tree trunk, or within a hazard, the "preferred rule" does not apply
